THE WORLD AFTER THE END is a short project created by one person for Post-Apocalyptic Jam 2017 in 20 days, so you may encounter bugs and problems while playing.

The story of THE WORLD AFTER THE END is a fictional story, any resemblance to reality is pure coincidence.

STORY:

The world grows at an incredibly fast pace.

There is less and less natural resources, less water, less food... and the world population continues to grow.

The governments of the first world powers decide to develop a preventive secret plan against a hypothetical situation of shortage and overpopulation of the planet. The project was called MANKIND.

But the governments lose control over the project and put in danger the existence of the human race.

We survive in an underground bunker in the middle of nowhere, without knowing if there are any survivors. We only have a radio with which we try to communicate every day with someone who can listen us and shed a ray of hope... But there is never an answer. Are we really alone? Should we go further in search of more survivors?

This is great. ๐Ÿ‘ How sad, that you lost your motivation to make this a full game. It's one of these prototypes with so much dense and atmosphere that is now rotting here on itch next to all these other nice prototypes you've created. How about making a full game instead of gamejam submissions? This would be really cool ๐Ÿ˜Ž
Have a nice day and thanks for the experience,
Ravee

DEVs Goal might not be making a game fully? Maybe like me for minecraft starting something new is the most fun? Also ould be they are new to the craft and each time they start a new project their code/skills become better and they don't want to revist old projects to clean then up rather than moving forward. Just my thoughts :)

P.S. Game JAM might just be their thing too, maybe the competition and time crunch is a driving force. Maybe they attend for fun/vacation but they don't have time to dedicate to these projects after the fact?

The game was a great experience! The story so far is very interesting and it has a lot of potential! I really liked the atmosphere and the visual in the bunker, btw what's up with the dark room that has no door? I thought that something might jump on me! :P Also idk if it was possible to see the content of the film. All and all, this was a wonderful short game project that anyone should try this! I hope to see a full version of the game in the near future. Great work dev! :)

It has an interesting plot, but we don't know anything about gameplay. Are you going to keep developing this?

Great video, thanks for playing!
This is a very short prototype created for the jam so development may continue in the future but I can't promise anything ;)

I can't see anything. :/ The game is way too dark to navigate.

Sorry for that, yes, maybe it's a bit dark.
Try to increase the brightness of your monitor.

This was a wonderful little experience! I'm really excited to see what comes of this project. Oppressive dreary atmosphere, ominous sound design, impressively detailed visuals and (if I'm not mistaken) a reference to the Svalbard Seed Vault? Impressive work dev(s)!

Thanks dude for the video and for your kind words!
And yes, the reference to the Svalbard Seed Vault is intentioned, you're good following clues ;)
